Web Accessibility

Web Accessibility open lab times are offered throughout June:
  • Wed., June 6, 1-3 p.m. in 005LX
  • Tue., June 12, 2-4 p.m. in 005LX
  • Mon., June 18, 9:30-11:30 a.m. in 012LX
  • Thu., June 28, 2-4 p.m. in 005LX
The Web Team is in the process of testing areas of the Web site for accessibility & policy guidelines. Academic areas are given precedence. You can view the checklist that we will be using at: http://www.wright.edu/testing/audit/checklist_test.html.

New Web Server

We will be switching over to the new Web server the morning of May 22. The new server will run Apache on Solaris 8.x. Please check your pages after the switchover. If you connect to WSU from an ISP other than WSU, you will need to send Kurt Cypher your ISP's domain name. Access to the Web server through telnet and FTP is limited to specified domains.

Web Trends Reporting Software

We've renewed our Web Trends reporting software. To view the main Web server stats, go to http://www.wright.edu/web/stats/.

HR FAQs

We are currently working on an FAQs site for Human Resources using a PHP/MySQL solution.

Online Services for Faculty & Staff

Faculty and staff will soon have access to a number of services via the Web through an interface similar to ROX. More to come.

Nutter Center Display

Interactive displays will be set up at the Nutter Center and the Center for Professional Development. They will have touch-screen monitors and Web access to wright.edu, wsuraiders.com, and nuttercenter.com. We'll be experimenting with the touch-screen monitors and will be sending you pointers for making your site work well with touch-screen technology.

Student Handbook

The student handbook is being updated, and we will notify you when it's done so you can check any areas that are pertinent to you.

Off-site Web Pages

Official WSU pages that are hosted off-site need to be approved by General Counsel and the Web Committee. See the Web Policy at http://www.wright.edu/wrightway/2001.html.

The next scheduled meeting is June 25 from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m in the 040 Library Annex conference room.
