Also, any page that has a form should use Java to put the focus into the first field automatically. This may seem insignificant but it adds up. For an example, see www.altavista.com and notice how you don't have to click in the search field; you're already there.	-

Putting ROX and WebCT on the homepage is a help to current students who access those pages often.	Although the website is overall visually actractive, I believe that is could be improved. Every page has a white background. I understand that this is more readable but gets visually boring. Especially on the homepage. The facilities at WSU are some of the best around. They need to be featured more. A direct link to the facilities on campus needs to be on the homepage. Also, many O athletics sites have facilities on their homepage. Why not highlight the great athletic facilities that WSU has? Also, a running scoreboard on the athletics site, like the one on the horizon league site, would be great. Overall, WSU has one of the best websites of colleges that I've seen.	-
98	US	-	-	-	-	Fogdog and Nexus (assuming, of course, that the funding is still around for them to publish in the future)	I attended University of Dayton for my freshman year, and comparing their web site to WSU's is like comparing stone to water. WSU's site provides a lot of good information on the school at large, and the sub-sites (i.e. the COLA site and the Dept. of English site)only improve the information. (UD on the O hand is very hard to navigate).	The site almost has too much information on it. Just opening the "Current Students" section and trying to find out about General Education Requirements takes time. The first time I accessed this site, now probably two years ago, I had a very hard time finding COLA and English sites, but that has been improved.	-

The university is shown in very good light and potential and present students are able to see where they are going to go to school. Also students are able to easily access places such as the library from their own computers or from one of the computer labs. This web site helps students easily navigate to more information.	One possible improvement to this site could be a message board from current students, and anO one for potential students to ask questions and get a students point of view.	This site is very well put together and the new layout seems to be a lot more organized.
