In the past our web site was a little slow in relaying information,but in the past 12-18 months I have seen a lot of improvement.The web page is easy to navigate, and provides useful links to all campus related sources, such as athletics and other campus departments/activities.The site is always helpful to students, as a directory for phone numbers and other useful sources on and off campus (in the surrounding area). Visual appearance; although I have seen it improve over the past four years, it still just doesn't catch my attention right off the bat.A good example of a visual improvement on a university web page, was done by Bowling Green. Their opening web page has large text and good clear grpahic displays.I like the "New U" campaign, but I think to the untold eye, the idea of the "diverse U" (using differnt fonts) my look a little out of place. I don't like to use the word generic, but in our efforts to sbe creative but simple, I think the web page lacks the flare of some other universities.We don't need radical changes in the web page design or layout, just some more updates and improvements. I hope my comments and suggestions have been useful.Keep up the good work! The page gets better and better year by year and I hope the improvements will continue.Good Luck ! :a

It looks VERY nice!LOVE the ROX (Raider Express online), it has come in handy numerous times since it's been implemented. Work on the search engine. I've tried to search for a professor, or class and I have neverbeen able to find what I'm looking for. I tend to get a LOT of matches that aren't even closeto what I was looking for. Maybe have more options to search by like Classes, Publications, People, etc. That would narrow the search and probably help a ton! -

We like to see new and up-to-date material.
714 US - - It is my Home Page - None I like the new ROX features, it is really convenient to be able to check grades, schedules, and class offerings over the web. That sure does beat calling Raider Express long distance every time I want to check my grades or schedule. I used to attend Miami and there website was very helpful. Similar to our new ROX,Miami's web page offered grades, schedules, and class offerings but even better youcould check the availability of classes. You could pull up any class at anytime (24 hoursa day, not just certain hours) and see what the maximum number of students that could'enroll in a particular class was, how many students were currently enrolled in a specificclass, and how many openings there were currently (that instant) or if the class was closed.This was really convenient. I could just keep the internet pulled up at work and check tosee if the class I needed had opened up yet, then I just had to call and register for it. Thatsure beats having to call Registration (whose phone is always busy), call Raider Express (whenit is open), or go to an Ask Me computer on campus. I think that Wright State should offerscheduling and fee payments over the internet as well. Why not take advantage of technology? It is kind of dull. It doesn't make Wright State appear too attractive. First, it needs morepictures of campus, so that people who aren't from Dayton can get a sense of what Wright State looks like. Show pictures of classrooms, lecture halls, and labs so peoplecan see where they would be learning if they came to WSU. Second, the directory couldbe so much better. Most schools put there real directory online. It should show addresses,phone numbers, class ranking, as well as the things it already shows like college and major.This really helps students that live off campus since we don't get printed directories, whichI think all students should get. Only students on campus can look up their classmates phonenumbers when all students need this to be available to them. 817 US - - - - - The pictures are great and it is pretty easy to get around. some of the features are a little confusing, but on the whole it is a fairly easy site to browse through. I am in the college of Business, majoring in MIS, I think that that web site isn't very helpful. I have been trying to find some information on my MIS electives on line and can't locate them and I would love it if they would provide the MIS degree requirements so that I wouldn't have to call the MIS department to have them send me out a paper copy. That is my biggest complaint. I know some of the other majors have that information out there. It would be nice to see that within the MIS homepage. -

Since WSU is not into leading, how about following some other University's footsteps. For instance, look at http://ccweb.potsdam.edu/sched/sched.htm.This actually has a list of classes available for a specific quarter with a small synopsis for the student to decide if this is the class that would appeal to their current needs or their current avenues of interest. Could you please place this under a conspicious heading? I am not sure that I would make use of registration through this link. I think that I would prefer to hear that Raider Express accepted my order on classes, than to wait til it was to late to get a response from the other route.
