Entry Sign, Fred White Health Center and Russ Engineering Center
Located at the corner of Colonel Glenn Highway and Center Road is the entrance sign to Wright State University. The green letters spelling Wright State, placed on a white wall, are eye-catching and easily visible by day or night. Hovering over these letters is the golden image of an early twentieth-century biplane flying close to a ground line with a single spectator to the right. This is Wright State University's logo, based on the Wright Brothers' historic flight at Kitty Hawk in 1903. This represents the same spirit of innovation and vision that characterized the university's founding in 1964 and its phenomenal growth.
