Founder's Quadrangle

This grassy, open area, dotted with trees for shade, is surrounded by four buildings. Each of these were built in honor of a person who played a significant role in the early days of Wright State University. To the west is Allyn Hall with its distinctive white overhang on the ground level. To the north is Millet Hall; Fawcett Hall is to the east; and the fourth side of the quadrangle is formed by Oelman Hall. A large boulder near one corner of the quadrangle has on it a commemorative plaque explaining the significance of this area. The Founders Quadrangle, commonly referred to as "the quad," is a peaceful, park-like setting that can be used to rest, study, or socialize. It is also big and open enough to accommodate large groups of people for special events or festivals.
