This is a panoramic overview of the south side of campus. The two-toned red and yellow exterior of the Creative Arts Building is an eye-catching start. To the right of the Creative Arts Building is the Frederick White Health Center. This sprawling building, appropriately faced in gleaming white to match its namesake, provides health care experience opportunities for the Medical School as well as service to the campus and community. Continuing on the right is the impressive Russ Engineering Center. It is the largest academic building on campus covering 173,000 square feet. The brick construction of this multi-story building blends in well with the other campus buildings. But its smooth, sleek design with rounded edges provides a nice contrast to the crisp, geometric cut of most of the other buildings. Even the main porch, with its projecting canopy over the doors, is rounded, curving out beyond the main structure and creating an inviting entrance. Continuing along this eastern sweep of the campus is the back of the Student Union, hub of student life at Wright State, and easily identified by its full glass wall. Lastly, the Medical Sciences Building and Biological Sciences Building complete the vista.
