After submitting your completed application, track its progress online. Once the Office of Admissions receives your complete application, it usually takes two to three weeks for Wright State admissions staff to make an admission decision.

Special Notes: 

  • When you apply online, you can submit your application and pay with a credit card or mail a check. You can also defer your application fee to Financial Aid on the application.
  • International students need to complete the International Application

Housing

Ready to live on campus? To apply for housing you must first be admitted to Wright State; the next step is to get online and get the housing application submitted. Priority Deadline for housing is June 1st.                     

Financial Aid

Wright State offers a wide range of scholarships for students.  Learn more about Wright State scholarships for First Year students and Transfer students. Deadline for most scholarships are in February, March and April.

To apply for Financial Aid, including loans, grants, and work study, submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid by the priority deadline: March 1.

Out-of-State

Out-of-State Students Admission Requirements

Out-of-state students must present evidence of an above-average ability to do college-level course work, which is generally illustrated by:

  • 2.5 or higher high school GPA
  • Completion of the Ohio Core (or equivalent rigorous curriculum)
  • 20 ACT composite or 960 SAT critical reading and math only

Recommended High School Course Work for Admission

  • 4 years English
  • 4 years Mathematics (including Algebra II or equivalent)
  • 3 years Science (including lab based experience)
  • 3 years of Social Studies (including American History, American Government and Economics/Financial Literacy, integrated or stand alone)
  • 2 years of the same foreign language
  • 1 Fine Arts Course
