Alicia Adams

Academic Advisor alicia_adams.jpg

Hello, my name is Alicia Adams. I graduated from Wright State University in 2009 with my B.A. in Psychology and went on to the University of Dayton to earn my M.S. in College Student Personnel. I was incredibly involved as an undergraduate student through multiple student organizations and student employment and I quickly realized that I wanted to inspire and encourage college students’ everyday just like my mentors had done for me. I love Wright State University and will always give it credit for making me the person that I am today. I look forward to being able to journey with you through academia. Go Raiders!

Mike Baumer

Lead Academic Advisor and Coordinator for Retention Michael%20Baumer%200303.jpeg

Hello, My name in Mike Baumer.  I have been a full time Academic Advisor at Wright State since 1990!  I am a proud graduate of Wright State University, first in 1982 with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Geography and in 1985 with a Master of Science Degree in Social and Applied Economics!  I originally came to Wright State in 1977 with the intention of transferring to another university.  I have never left!  I ran Cross Country four years at Wright State, competing in the NCAA II Cross Country Championships three times.  At age 24, I was selected to restart the Cross Country program after it was dropped for financial reasons at the conclusion of my senior year.  That same year, I started the women’s Cross Country team!  I coached through 1999.

Pamela Beatty

Academic Advisor

Welcome to Wright State!  My name is Pam Beatty, and I am excited to be one of the newest advisors in University College.  I’m a former Buckeye, having received both of my degrees from Ohio State a B.A. in Social Sciences and an M.A. in Student Personnel Work in Higher Education. We may have had a competitive football team at OSU, but we didn’t have the option of using tunnels to get to class during bad weather!  I’m looking forward to working with you.

Brittany Erwin

Hi, my name is Brittany Erwin. I have a B.A. in English Literature as well as an M.S. in Student Affairs in Higher Education from Miami University. While at Miami, I had the opportunity to engage in three separate study abroad opportunities. I spent a semester at Miami’s campus in Luxembourg and was able to travel many European countries (including Greece, France, Spain, Italy, Ireland, Czech Republic, the Netherlands, Belgium, Poland, and Germany to name a few!). Later, as a graduate student, I spent three weeks each in Ireland and then in China to study each country’s educational system. As you can tell, I am passionate about travel and study abroad. My other passions include reading, cooking, and working with college students. I look forward to partnering with you to ensure that your experience here at Wright State University is engaging, exciting, and successful.
