3.5 cumulative GPA; graduate with associate degree from state-assisted two-year college.

How to Apply

  1. Submit a complete Undergraduate Admission Application by June 15 (prior to the start of the academic year).

  2. Eligible students will be awarded and notified by letter via U.S. mail.

  3. No additional scholarship application materials required.

  4. Plan to enroll as a full-time student at Wright State University after earning an associate degree from a two-year college.

  5. Submit your final college transcript with your degree posted to the Office of Undergraduate Admissions. Awards are made to eligible applicants after the final college transcript is reviewed by the Office of Financial Aid.

Phi Theta Kappa Competitive Scholarship

Eligibility Criteria

3.5 cumulative GPA; 36 transferable quarter hours or 26 semester hours; enroll full-time at Wright State University directly from two-year college; member of Phi Theta Kappa.

How to Apply

  1. Submit a complete Undergraduate Admission Application by February 15 (prior to the start of the academic year).

  2. Complete the Online Phi Theta Kappa (PTK) Competitive Scholarship Application by February 15.

  3. An online recommendation from a faculty member or advisor will be required. Please be sure to contact your intended reference prior to listing him/her. Your reference will be sent an e-mail to complete an online academic recommendation for you.

  4. Prepare now! Type your goals and objectives and store in a Word document (3,500 characters allowed -- approx. 500-600 words). If copied and pasted from MS Word, please do not use formatting like indentations or bullets. Please proofread before saving.

  5. Submit a copy of your PTK membership to the Office of Financial Aid (via mail or fax to 937-775-5795) by March 1.

  6. This is a competitive scholarship process, not an automatic award. Award decision is made by June 1.

Alumni Association Legacy Scholarship

Alumni Association Legacy Scholarship

Eligibility Criteria

Available to full and part-time students with a minimum GPA of 2.7; Student must be the immediate family member (spouse, child, legal dependent, stepchild, or grandchild) of a Wright State University graduate who is a current annual member of the Wright State University Alumni Association and at least in their third consecutive year of membership or a paid-in-full life member at the time of application.

How to Apply

  1. Submit a complete Undergraduate Admission Application by March 1 (prior to the start of the academic year).

  2. Complete the Online Alumni Association Legacy Scholarship Application by March 1.

  3. Prepare now! Type and save your essay in an electronic document. Submit a 200 word essay detailing your commitment to community service and outline how you lived out that commitment in your own experiences (essay allows 3,500 characters). If copied and pasted from MS Word, please do not use formatting like indentations or bullets.
