Preparing for the Future:

Finishing my freshman year at Wright State, I feel one step closer to reaching my professional goals. Speaking with advisors about classes, majors, and minors help me to grasp my goals during a confusing point in my life. Moving to college has greatly changed my personal life. I have made friends who I share similar interests with, which is difficult to do in high school.

Fitting In:

My biggest fear about starting college was making friends when I moved to college, but the first weekend events helped me to meet other students living in my residence hall. Involvement in a freshman learning community also allowed me to become close to my classmates and make friends on campus.

Feeling at Home:

Living on campus is really convenient and there is always something going on to keep you busy. The honors dorm is a great place to study with quiet rooms, lounges, and a study room, but there are always a lot of activities. Dances and events with games and free food make dorm life fun.

A Few of My Favorite Things:

One of the great things is the ability to use Wright State’s underground tunnel system to avoid walking outside in the wind, rain, and snow. Wright State had one snow day this winter and I spent it with my friends sledding by University Park, it was probably the most fun I had all quarter.

...hanging out in the Union Market. In between classes and for dinner my friends and I always meet at the Union to eat and socialize. The Union is probably my favorite place on campus, because everything on campus happens there
