Making a Difference
Several years ago, I took UH 203, a service learning class which included a trip to the Appalachian region. In our time there, we were exposed to a wide variety of local organizations and leaders working to make a difference. The trip occurred over spring break—immediately following the conclusion of the course. While there, we were able to apply our classroom learning to do something for the greater good. Service learning is something that everyone should do at least once!
A Great Choice
For me, Wright State was a great fit: It offered me the opportunities of a larger university, while allowing me the support and one on one attention of smaller schools. Financial affordability also played a large factor in my decision.
Outside of the Classroom
Getting to work as a DJ at WWSU 106.9 was one of the coolest opportunities I’ve had. Producing your own radio show is something that most people don’t get to do.
Preparing for the Future
I am currently exploring several related careers; however, Wright State has provided me the experiences and skills to succeed in a multitude of settings.
A Little Advice
Always keep your head up and be on the lookout for new opportunties. Wright State has a great network of faculty, staff, and alumni with ties in teh real world.
A Few of My Favorite Things
The fourth floor of Dunbar Library is a great place to get away and study in peace. The addition of the Starbucks on the first floor certainly doesn’t hurt!
Marketing 2500 has probably been one of my favorite classes. I was honored to take it with Dr. Rosemary Ramsey, whose wisdom was invaluable in understanding the content.
What do you order at the on-campus Starbucks or Tim Hortons?
I honestly prefer Winan’s, a local coffee shop with roots in and around Dayton. I have a weakness for their Buckeye Frappuccino.
How many hours a day do you spend on Social Media (i.e. Twitter/Instagram/Snapchat/Pinterest) (come on, be honest!)

What was your most embarrassing high school moment…that you can share?
Wearing full makeup for our school’s musical. After my first year, I switched to leading the stage crew.
What is your workout routine?
Right now, I’m trying to get into one! Usually running a mile or two a day when I can.
Where did you hang out last night/weekend?
At home, watching Shark Week on Discovery! Wright State was mentioned and faculty member, Chuck Ciampaglio, was featured on one of the shows!
What is the last concert you went to?
10 Years @ the Newport Music Hall in Columbus, Ohio
What's on your playlist right now?
Fair to Midland, 10 Years, Panic! at the Disco, Kendrick Lamar, Macklemore, and many more. Variety is the spice of life!
Dream job…where would it be and what would you be doing?
Working for Google would definitely be a goal. Maybe in business to business marketing or working as an account manager in sales.
If you are going to drop $20 at the movies, what are you going to see?
Something well-conceived and executed. I’m not too picky about my movies, so long as work and thought went into them.
What team are you on?

What is your favorite place to go off-campus? What is your favorite spot around the Dayton area?
Glen Helen in Yellow Springs is only a 10 minute drive from campus and is fantastic for hiking.
