Post Secondary Enrollment Option Students
Wright State University provides an opportunity for Ohio high school students to enroll in university courses for high school and/or college credit through the Post-Secondary Enrollment Options (PSEO) program. The PSEO program is open to 9th through 12th grade students enrolled in the state’s public, community and approved nonpublic high schools.
Program Guidelines & Enrollment Options
Program Guidelines
The purpose of the program is to promote advanced academic pursuits and expose students to options beyond high school. The program is not intended to replace the high school curriculum.
Admission to the PSEO program does not guarantee that a student will be able to enroll in a given course or any course since the university has a primary obligation to serve the needs of the university’s degree-seeking students.
Students at the Dayton campus are permitted to enroll in two courses per semester based on the number of credit hours they are eligible to complete. Students at the Lake campus are permitted to enroll in up to 10 credit hours per semester based on the number of hours they are eligible to complete.
Students are responsible for consulting their high school guidance office to determine if and how courses completed through PSEO will be given credit toward high school graduation.
Enrollment Options
Students who participate in the program must choose from the following two options:
Option A
Allows the student to choose, upon enrollment, college credit only OR both high school and college credit. Through Option A, the student is responsible for tuition, books, and fees.
Option B
Allows the student to receive both high school and college credit. Through Option B, tuition, fees, and required books are covered at public expense.
Eligibility Requirements

Students considering the PSEO program should check with their high school counselors for details on the possible risks and consequences of taking part in the program. Students and parents must sign an ‘intent to enroll’ form for the Ohio Department of Education indicating that they understand all responsibilities for participation.
