Wright State is committed to your academic success!
Here are a few resources to help you get the grades you need to succeed.
The University Libraries are the scholarly information center for the University. In support of the University's mission of educational excellence, the Libraries collect, organize, preserve, and facilitate access to scholarly resources in all formats; support teaching, learning, and research in an intellectually open environment; and provide instruction in the use of traditional and new information resources and technologies.
The Wright State University Libraries’ collections are among the largest in the Dayton metropolitan area. In addition, the University Libraries are a member of OhioLINK, a computer network that provides access to a significant array of online resources as well over 48 million library items in academic libraries throughout Ohio. The University Libraries’ website also provides online access to a wide variety of information resources including electronic books and journals, research databases, media, and selected Internet resources.
Free help with any writing project is available from the University Writing Center. Individualized writing consultations can be set up to help students with generating ideas, proof reading, developing research strategies, organizing and revising drafts, working with grammatical or mechanical problems, formatting papers, and using Microsoft Word. The University Writing Center has networked computers for student use, a reference library, and a Writers Hotline for questions that can be answered on the phone.
The tutoring office will help locate a tutor for any class in which you are having difficulty. Freshmen are eligible to receive one hour of free tutoring per week for each class they are taking. Additional tutoring and tutoring for upper level courses is available at an hourly fee.
Math Learning Center
Students looking for mathematics help will find it at the Mathematics Learning Center. The center provides free walk-in tutoring for students in most introductory math classes. So whether you are starting in Elementary Algebra or studying calculus, you will be able to find help when you need it.
