Due to its location between Central Europe, Italy, and the Balkan States, Graz absorbed various influences from the neighboring regions. In Graz, students will have a chance to see some sporting events, tour the beautiful historic city, visit local businesses, go on a camping trip, hike through the surrounding area, and meet with Austrian students to practice their German and learn more about Austria.

Salzburg

Explore Mozart’s birthplace, sip coffee in one of Austrian’s best coffee houses, tour the salt mines and learn about the salt industry in Salzburg after taking a 100-foot-slide down the 480-years-old salt mines.

Orientation

The University Center for International Education will hold a pre-departure orientation during the spring quarter. Students will also be required to attend a mandatory 3-day pre-trip orientation in order for the students to learn history and background of Austria and some major differences from the United States. This will also give students an opportunity to meet before departure.
