WSU students may apply their financial aid awards to all
WSU Study Abroad programs. They should also investigate the following
sources of financial support:
National Security Education Program (NSEP)
The Institute of International Education (IIE) is now accepting applications for the 2005-2006 National Security Education Program (NSEP) Boren Undergraduate Scholarships for
education abroad. NSEP Boren Scholarships provide funding for summer, semester, or yearlong
study in areas of the world that are critical to U.S. national security, but are underrepresented in
education abroad.

Rotary
Ambassadorial Scholarship
This award
provides funding for one academic year of study in another country.
It is intended to help cover round-trip transportation, tuition, fees, room and board expenses, and some educational supplies up to US $25,000 or its equivalent.
Applications are available from the Rotary Club of Dayton.
Eligibility
Must have completed two years of college or two years of recognized vocational work by the time the scholarship period begins
Candidates must be citizens of a country in which there is a Rotary club
Candidates cannot be Rotarians, spouses or children of Rotarians, or Rotary employees
Application must be made through a local Rotary club in the applicant’s legal or permanent residence or place of full-time study or employment
Study must be undertaken in another country or territory where there are Rotary clubs
Candidates must be proficient in the language of the proposed host country
There are no age or gender restrictions on Ambassadorial Scholarships
Rotaractors are eligible and encouraged to apply, provided they meet all other eligibility criteria
Persons with disabilities are eligible
Scholarships are not appropriate for students seeking to continue studies already begun at a foreign institution

Benjamin
Gilman International Scholarship
This scholarship provides funds
up to US $5,000 for U.S. citizen undergraduate students at two and
four-year institutions to pursue country-based semester or
academic-year long
education abroad opportunities worldwide.

Fulbright Student Scholarship
Sponsored by the U.S.
Department of State, the Fulbright U.S. Student Program offers
opportunities for recent graduates, postgraduate candidates, and

research abroad.
