What is the WSU Student Ambassador Club?
The Student Ambassador
Club at WSU works to develop, encourage, and maintain relationships
with the international community. We also educate the Wright State
community about study abroad through our own experiences.

Do I have to have studied abroad in order to join this organization?
Not at all! Any WSU
student that is interested in travel, and/or study abroad, or those
who wish to expand their knowledge about the world and its cultures
are welcome to join!

When an where does the WSU Student Ambassador Club meet?
There is no set date for
meetings.Meetings are announced via Email (for those who sign up),
via facebook, and our site.

What does this organization do?
We are involved in
organizing trips and educating others through our own experiences by
speaking to classes, organizing programs and forums, and other
activities. Our goal is to better inform the WSU community of the
benefits and different opportunities to study abroad. Another goal
of the club is to educate others about the different countries that
we have studied in or wish to someday study or travel to.

Are there dues for the club?
Yes. It is $10 for the year. This covers
activity fees and helps us to better arrange programs.

Myths About Study Abroad
1. “I can’t study
abroad because I have not studied a foreign language.”
Wright State offers many Ambassador Programs or consortium programs
that are conducted in English.
2. “I can’t study abroad because of the cost.”
Students can pay to study abroad via scholarships or financial aid.
If you want to do it, there is a way!
3. “I want to graduate on time, so I can’t study abroad.”
When studying abroad, you can take classes that count towards your
degree making it so you never fall behind and you graduate on time.
4. “I can’t study abroad because I can not be away for a year.”
Wright State offers study abroad programs that range from 3 weeks to
an entire year in length.
5. “Study abroad has absolutely NO value to me.”
Not only does studying abroad look great on a résumé but, it can
give you a new outlook on life and a better understanding of the
diverse world around you!
