Students can study abroad through a variety of international programs offered through Wright State.  There are three types of study abroad programs available to WSU students: Ambassador Programs, Third Party Provider Programs, and Exchange Programs.

Ambassador Programs provide an opportunity for students to study for shorter periods of time at various sites around the world.  These programs take place during the summer and winter intersession and are led by Wright State faculty members.

Exchange Programs allow WSU students to travel to university partner institutions to take classes in the foreign language of their host country.  Students have the option of studying abroad in the summer, for a semester, or a full year and programs are available for all majors.  International internship opportunities are also available.  Full academic credit is provided for all courses taken abroad through a WSU-sponsored Education Abroad program and all financial aid can be applied toward the cost of these programs.

Third Party Provider Programs are offered by professional organizations and provide the student with study abroad options on five continents.  Through these programs students can study in foreign countries without prior language experience and can receive up to two years language credit for one semester abroad.
