Who Needs to file an Income Tax Return?
 

Each Spring by April 15th, everyone who was physically present in the United States on a F-1, F-2, J-1, J-2, H-1B, TN, visa at any time during the previous calendar year (even for one day) must file a Federal Income Tax Return. This includes dependents. Federal Income Tax Returns are to be completed and mailed by April 15. If you are currently overseas or received no income during the previous calendar year, the deadline for you is June 15.
