International Education Week is an opportunity to celebrate the benefits of international education and exchange worldwide. This joint initiative of the U.S. Department of State, the U.S. Department of Education and Wright State University Center for International Educaion is part of our efforts to promote programs that prepare Americans for a global environment and attract future leaders from abroad to study, learn, and exchange experiences in the United States.

Event: Fulbright Faculty Workshop
Dianne Price, Fulbright Program Officer for Central and South Asia at the Council for International Exchange of Scholars in Washington, DC, will offer a workshop on the Fulbright Program for Faculty and Professionals in 157 Student Union. Learn about lecturing and research opportunities in 150 countries; get advice on which country to apply to and how to make contacts abroad; learn how to prepare the Fulbright application; and explore how you can host visiting foreign Fulbright Scholars. There is no charge for the workshop. Interested faculty and professionals are encouraged to attend. One-on-one meetings can also be set up before and after the workshop. President's International Education Reception hosted by President David Hopkins in the Student Union Atrium. 11th Annual International Education Award will be presented to a faculty or staff member or group leading efforts to internationalize the campus and community.

International alumni are invited to join UCIE staff members to cheer the WSU basketball team at WSU vs. North Carolina game. By invitation only.
During the International Education Week which is the second week in November, the UCIE will hold a Photo Contest to select the participant with the award winning Photo.
The photos should be in one of the following category:
1. Best Landscape
2. Best Portrait
3. Best Cultural depiction
All the categories will be awarded Cash Prize and coupons from restaurants around the area. There will be an exhibit of all the entries from November 7th to November 14th, during which the students can vote for the best photograph which will be awarded as "People's Choice". All the other categories will be juried.
Deadline to submit the photograph is November 5th.
Photo Contest Rules:
Participants must be WSU Students, Faculty/Staff and Alumni
• Each photo entry must be submitted with a completed UCIE International Education Week Photo Contest Entry Form. Forms are available at UCIE- Student Union E190 or at the link below.
• Photo can be in color or black & white.
• Photo must be submitted in a:
1) 8 X 10 inch Hard copy (you do not need to frame) at UCIE-Student Union E190
2) Digital format with high resolution image can be emailed to ucie11@wright.edu
(Hard copy and Digital Format, both are required to be considered for the contest)
• One photo entry per student.
• The photo must be your creation and all graphics in it must be authorized for public use.
Do not forget to add a small description of your photo including Location and Occasion.
