These are informal lunchtime presentations on topics ranging from new study-abroad programs to a comparison of economies between countries. Presented by the staff and faculty in the Wright State University campus. The presentations are held in the UCIE conference room (E190 Student Union) every other Wednesday from noon, lasting about an hour.

Coffee Hours are a weekly gathering of WSU international and American students, with an aim to introduce foreign cultures and customs to students. Students will usually hold a demonstration, presentation or discussion during these events, while the UCIE occasionally provides refreshments and food. The event is held in the UCIE conference room (E190 Student union) on Fridays from 3 to 4 PM.

The International Friendship Affair is an exciting opportunity for the University Center for International Education to celebrate its ongoing relationship with Dayton's diverse international community. IFA features performances by ethnic groups, colorful displays by our international students and food from all over the world. imagine you can travel around the world in an hour or two!
Over the years, it has developed into one of the most celebrated and unique events at Wright State University. It has provided the opportunity for people from both the Wright State University campus and the greater Miami Valley community to be able to share experiences with our international students. We take pride in the diversity and global perspectives of our more than 650 international students who currently represent over 70 countries around the globe.

Many world-famous thinkers and inventors have called Dayton, Ohio home. In that same spirit, the city continues this tradition of innovation by positioning itself as an emerging global technology hub and a center for cutting-edge research initiatives. These industries, along with strong healthcare and defense sectors, recently earned Dayton the ranking of top midsized metropolitan area in the nation for economic development.

The International Cultural Exchange is a student organization sponsored by the UCIE. This group is usually run by the graduate assistants out of the UCIE office. ICE promotes inter-cultural social activities between international and American students on campus. Events usually include cook-outs, game nights, dances and trips to locations such as Haunted Houses.

DCOWA is a non-profit organization that has served the Dayton region for over 60 years. DCOWA's mission is to "promote informed opinion and decision-making concerning international issues. We engage people on diverse world issues, points of view, and cultuers to link individuals and organizations with common interests."
