Oxford Honor

Congratulations to Jouhaina Razzouk, PSYD ’04 who was invited to participate in the prestigious Oxford Round Table in England. The Oxford Round Table provides a forum for the study and consideration of current issues facing various systems of education. The
participants consist of a small select group of leaders from both the private and public sectors of several countries, and in the past has included Ministers of Education, State Governors educational administrators, corporate executive officers and
academicians. Jouhaina was the only student who participated this year. In addition, her paper, in collaboration with Juliette Knight, was also selected to be presented. It is entitled “Men Will be Men…Women Will be Women?’ A Psychological Perspective on Women
in Leadership Positions. It explores how traditional gender stereotypes affect women’s pursuit of leadership positions. Wright State wishes her the best of luck in her new job in New Jersey where she will work in the prison system with sex offenders. She feels
that this job will enable her “to continue…practicing psychology in the public domain while continuing to advocate for women’s rights.”
