Frequently Asked Admissions Questions
Q: If I apply on line, can I send in a draft from my home-country to pay the
application fee?
A: No. The on line
application can only be submitted with a credit card payment.
Q: What do I do If I do not have a Master card,
Visa or Discover, and
I do
not have a U.S. bank account upon which to draw for the application fee?
A: If you do not have a Mastercard, Visa, Discover or a U.S. bank account
you may download the application and send it by mail along with a check
or money order, in U.S. dollars, made out to WSU for the amount of the
application fee.
Q:
Can I send in my
application and have my TOEFL scores sent to WSU by ETS at a later time?
A: Yes, you may send your application and have ETS forward the TOEFL score
at a later time. The WSU institution code for ETS is 1179. Please note that
your application cannot be sent to the department for an admission decision
without a TOEFL score so you need to send a copy of your score sheet. This
is not an official document, however, and the official TOEFL score must be
sent directly to WSU from ETS.
Q: For my
graduate admissions application, can I have my recommendation letters sent to
the international office, or should they go to the graduate school office or the
academic department?
A: Your recommendation letters should be sent to the
international office. Applicants to the Ph.D. BMS program must have their
recommendation letters sent directly to the Department.
Q: What are the deadlines for application and admission?
A: Students out of the US should have their applications complete 6 months
prior to the start of the quarter they are requesting. Students already
in the US should have their applications complete 4 months prior to the
start of classes.
Q: If I have trouble applying online, whom can I
contact?
A:
Send an email to
help@collegenet.com or phone 503-973-5213.
Q: How can I check my status
on line?
A: At this time, international applicants are not able to
check their status on line. When your application is received in our office,
you will receive an email, requesting any items that are missing. You will
receive another email when your application is complete and ready to send to
the Department for a decision. Questions about the status of your
application should be addressed to: uciestatus@wright.edu.
