February 11, 2008 Meeting

UCAPC Subcommittee Reports

Writing Across the Curriculum Committee (WAC) -- Joe Law, Chair, no report.

University General Education Committee (UGEC) -- Jean Edwards, Chair, no report.

Undergraduate Academic Program Review Committee (UAPRC) -- Susan Carrafiello, Chair. The committee met on February 4 to review the Finance (B.S.B.) and the Financial Services (B.S.B.) programs that were due to the committee last academic year -- the committee had several suggestions for improvement in the two submissions and upon receiving such will approve both reviews.  The committee will meet February 18 to review the International Business (B.S.B.) program also due to be submitted last academic year. The committee will again meet on March 3 to begin review of programs submitted on schedule for this academic year -- beginning with the Mathematics programs Other program reviews due this year are as follows.

* the committee made minor modifications as agreed upon by the college representatives
** as agreed by the college representatives, the proposals were withdrawn as the the committee noted that IT 141 needed to be submitted as a course modification and that TOA 297 needed to be submitted as a course inventory. However, being that all relevant information was submitted, the committee gave the chair permission to process both proposals upon their receipt.

At this time the committee could not approve the program changes and requested that the LC resubmit such for the UCAPC March meeting by incorporating the required changes per the committee's request and agreed upon by the LC representatives.
