Tutoring Services

Finding a Tutor

Initial application for tutoring should be made in person at the Tutoring Office in 023R Dunbar Library. At the time of application, the student will make a specific appointment(s) with a tutor. The appointment will begin the following week and continue for the remainder of the quarter. If a student is unable to come in person during working hours, appointments can be made by phone at 775-2280.

ELIGIBILITY

The Tutoring Office will attempt to locate tutors for any currently enrolled student, for any course offered at Wright State. (Exceptions: ENG 101 and 102, and all DEV classes). First year students are eligible to receive one hour of free tutoring per week for each course. Students registered with the Office of Disability Services, who have documented learning disabilities will receive an additional hour of free tutoring per week for each course. All additional tutoring and tutoring for upper level students will be billed at $6.00/hour. Students enrolled in various special programs may be eligible for subsidized tutoring. Subsidized tutoring is billed at $8.00/hour.
