The Math Learning Center helps students become more confident, autonomous, and proficient learners of mathematics.

The Center provides individualized student evaluation and instruction from a full-time director and a staff of two dozen student-employees. To coordinate appropriate student assistance, the Center collaborates with other departments and programs.

The Math Learning Center offers:

• Face-to-face peer tutoring
  
  
• Peer tutoring is available for the following courses:
  DMV 0500, DEV 0950, MTH 1260, 1280, 1310, 1340, 2240, 2280, 2300
  
  
• Online learning resources
  • Online resources can be accessed in the lab with help from peer tutors (no appointment necessary)
  • Online resources can be accessed from home for independent study
  • Explore math lessons and interactive utilities at the following sites:

    • Calc 101
      
      
• Graphing calculator rental program

This program allows a student to check out a graphing calculator for the entire semester.  A student who wishes to borrow a calculator must complete a rental-agreement form and pay a refundable $20 deposit.  Forms are available in the Math Learning Center.
