Developmental Education 095 Elementary Algebra

Current and Prospective Students

Thank you for your interest in DEV 095.  Unfortunately, the nature of the class is such that it is not possible to add students beyond the stated limit.

However, some students will drop the class before the quarter begins so you should check frequently on Wings Express for an opening.

If you have been unable to register yourself for DEV 095 and wish to be placed on the wait list, then complete the form located here DEV 095 Wait List Request.

Prospective Student Employees

A Proctor provides assistance to groups of six students taking the DEV 095 Developmental Algebra course.  The Proctor facilitates the progress of these students by explaining algebra concepts, answering questions, assigning practice, assessing progress and keeping accurate records.  Since Proctors meet with the same group of students during each of their class times, new Proctors must be available to work consistently at those times (e.g. 9:00 - 9:50 every MWF.)  New Proctors must be available to work at least 3 of the 14 regularly scheduled sections of DEV 095 during their first quarter of employment.

Formal and on-the-job training will be provided.

Applicants must have a Math Placement Level of at least Level 4 or have completed Intermediate Algebra with a grade of A or B.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills required. All fields of study are represented among our proctors. This is a great opportunity for intending education majors.

To apply for the position fill out the proctor application and availability forms located below.
