Wright State offers articulation (transfer) agreements with local community colleges and career/technical centers. These agreements outline how courses taken by students to complete an associate degree at their current institution will transfer into the specific major(s) indicated on the agreement.
The Ohio Board of Regents' Transfer and Articulation Policy requires that all public Ohio universities and community and technical colleges establish a transfer module. A transfer module is a subset or a complete set of a college's or university's general education requirements. These courses represent a body of knowledge and academic skills common across Ohio colleges and universities. The transfer module consists of 36- 40 semester hours or 54-60 quarter hours in the following areas: (1) English composition, (2) mathematics, (3) arts/humanities, (4) social and behavioral sciences, and (5) natural and physical sciences.
Students who complete the transfer module at another school before transferring to Wright State will be considered to have completed the requirements of the WSU general education program; however, students may be required to complete additional courses if their intended major requires specific pre-requisite courses that are substituted for normal general education requirements.
In addition, Wright State University accepts all individually approved Ohio Transfer Module courses taken Fall 2005 or later at other Ohio institutions and apply them to Wright State’s Transfer Module within the same areas and following Ohio Board of Regents Transfer Module distribution guidelines. Transfer students are subject to all Wright State requirements, including pre-requisites for advanced courses, minimum course grades, and cumulative GPAs, for entrance to particular majors and programs. Transfer students who must repeat courses to meet these requirements will follow the same rules for repeating courses as students who begin at Wright State.
u.select (formerly CAS), located at www.transfer.org, is an online tool that will help you view program requirements, course equivalencies, and see how courses you have taken or plan to take transfer to another college or university.
