Welcome to University College!

The University College is the academic home for nearly 5,000 students. Approximately 2,000 new first-year students begin each fall, and approximately 1,000 transfer students are admitted into University College each year. We provide resources and guidance to help make your transition to Wright State a successful one.

We offer a variety of services to assist our new students:

  • Academic advising through the Academic Advising and Transfer Services (AATS) and Developmental Education offices;
  • Preparatory courses in English, and Math;
  • A comprehensive First-Year Experience, including First Weekend;
  • Learning Communities;
  • Scholarship opportunities;
  • Learning assistance through the Student Academic Success Centers;
  • A University College Council;
  • Resources for undecided students; and
  • A comprehensive WSU Resource Guide and Things to Do list.
  • *NEW* First year curriculum guides to help students move into the appropriate major in a timely fashion. The guides include information about specific entrance requirements to the major (including grade point average, specific course requirements, credit hour requirements, etc).
