University College is the academic home for nearly 5,000 WSU students who are in the process of completing the admission requirements to transfer into the college of their major.

We offer a wide variety of services to assist distance learners:

First Year Experience (FYE) programs assists new students in their transition to university life. We provide a wealth of opportunities to make your first year at Wright State University fulfilling and successful.

Academic Advising and Transfer Services provide valuable assistance in selecting a major and staying on track for your program of study.

Student Academic Success Center provides preparatory coursework and learning assistance outside of class, often critical to achieving academic success.

All distance learners currently enrolled in a course at Wright State University are entitled to use the University Libraries' resources and services, including:

  • Remote access to databases and other electronic resources of WSU and OhioLINK
  • Borrowing privileges from any Ohio LINK institution
  • Reference and research assistance
  • Access to books and articles
  • Online instruction

Career Services (http://career.wright.edu/)
Career Services helps students and alumni develop career and life-planning skills, acquire experience, master job search strategies, and seek rewarding employment via programs in:

  • Career exploration
  • Student employment
  • Cooperative education and internships
  • Career employment

Office of Disability Services (http://www.wright.edu/students/dis_services/)
The Office of Disability Services offers a variety of services to students diagnosed with physical, learning, and psychological disabilities. These services include:

  • Alternate format books (CDs, Braille, and .wav files)
  • C-printers
  • Sign language interpreters
  • Testing accommodations

Information concerning the materials necessary to apply for services in listed on the Office of Disability Services web page. Once a student has submitted documentation, a pre-service interview appointment should be scheduled. For a distance learning student, a phone interview may be arranged.
