The University College is the academic home for nearly 5,000 students. Approximately 2,000 new first-year students begin each fall, and approximately 1,000 transfer students are admitted into University College each year. These students are completing the admission requirements to transfer into the college of their major.
We offer a variety of services to assist our current students:
- Academic advising through Academic Advising and Transfer Services and the Developmental Education office;
- Learning assistance through the Math Learning Center and Tutoring Office;
- Resources for undecided students;
- A University College Council; and
- A comprehensive WSU Resource Guide.
- *NEW* First year curriculum guides to help students move into the appropriate major in a timely fashion. The guides include information about specific entrance requirements to the major (including grade point average, specific course requirements, credit hour requirements, etc).
- *NEW* "Good Moral Character" Form PDF (required for admission to Middle Childhood Ed.)
If you have been dismissed from University College, changed to non-degree status, or denied admission, you may appeal the decision. Please be sure to read the instructions and the tips on how to write an effect appeal essay.
