Veterans, University College wants to help you if you are a new student, University College will help you transition to college successfully. If you have taken college classes elsewhere, University College will help you with the transfer process. Whether you are a new or a transfer student, or if you have not entered a degree program, we will help you move into an appropriate major in one of Wright State’s discipline-specific colleges.

We offer a variety of services to assist our students who are veterans:

  • Academic advising through the Academic Advising and Transfer Services (AATS);
  • Preparatory courses in English, and Math;
  • A comprehensive First-Year Experience, including First Weekend;
  • Learning Community courses designed for military/veteran students;
  • Scholarship opportunities;
  • Learning assistance through the Student Academic Success Centers;
  • A University College Council;
  • Resources for undecided students; and
  • A comprehensive WSU Resource Guide and Things to Do list.
  • First year curriculum guides to help students move into the appropriate major in a timely fashion. The guides include information about specific entrance requirements to the major (including grade point average, specific course requirements, credit hour requirements, etc).
