The University College is the college within Wright State University that helps first-year, transfer, and adult students transition successfully to college and into appropriate majors in one of Wright State’s discipline-specific colleges.

The University College is the academic home for nearly 5,000 students. Approximately 2,000 new first-year students begin each fall, and approximately 1,000 transfer students are admitted into University College each year.

The University College offers a multitude of services to assist these students in meeting the requirements for entering their chosen major. These services are grouped under these three categories:
