Academic Advising and Transfer Services is the home for nearly all first-year students as well as many transfer, returning and adult students. 

Staff in AATS:

• Provide academic advising for direct from high school, transfer, returning, adult and continuing students.
• Help first-year students adjust to college through learning communities, first-year initiatives and individualized attention.
• Teach First-Year Seminars (UVC 101, UVC 102 and UVC 111), Preparing for Academic Success Seminars (UVC 100), Stress Management (UVC 107) and Returning to Learning (UVC 110).
• Coordinate and present Summer On-campus and Registration (SOAR), a new student orientation program.
• Coordinate all University College scholarships.
• Produce the University College Newsletter.
