What is UAB?

UAB stands for the University Activities Board here at Wright State.  We’re the premier programming board here on campus, and, as such, we strive to provide students with a variety of things to do here at Wright State.  UAB is composed of an executive board and Street Team.  We’re all students here, so we have first-hand perspective on what needs to go down on campus.

To create a fun and unified campus through diverse and educational programming made for the students, by the students. As a part of the university, we strive to involve all of the campus and surrounding community with continual development in leadership skills, community service, and cultural enlightenment.

UAB contains four programming committees: Major Events, Themes and Traditions, Weekend Events, and Series Events.  Each committee works on a variety of events for their specific purposes.  In addition is the Marketing committee, in charge of promoting UAB and each of its events.

UAB often works together with numerous groups to organize its large and high-profile events.  It works closely with other student organizations, university departments, and corporate sponsors.  To learn about how to either sponsor a UAB event or to have UAB co-sponsor the event of another organization, please contact Melissa Brigden.
