Transfer and Adult Student Transition Process

Welcome to the Wright State Community!

We are excited that you are joining our Wright State family.

You should log into your Admissions Portal at wright.edu/apply to review your "Status", "Required Documents", and "Next Steps" fields in your Portal to ensure that you are on track. Consult your Transfer and Adult Student Checklist which will provide you with important information regarding your admission and transition process.

Your Next Steps

Step One: Academic Advising & Class Registration

Step One: Academic Advising & Class Registration

The next step in your transition process is to meet with an academic advisor and register for your Fall Semester classes. An academic advisor is a specialist in guiding students, as well as your partner in creating a schedule of classes for your first semester! Your advisor is a professional advising expert who will assist you in formulating a path to academic success and achieving your goals.

There are three stages to the advising and registration process:

  1. Identify the Wright State Academic College in which you have been admitted. Your academic college can be found by accessing your WINGS Express account. Once you have logged in to WINGS Express, select the "Student and Financial Aid" tab.  Then click on the "Registration and Records" link.  Then click on "View Student Information." Your college is located under "Curriculum Information" at the bottom of the screen.
  2. Schedule an advising appointment by contacting the college in which you are admitted. You may schedule an appointment with your academic advisor at any time, or you may attend a Transfer Advising Session (details listed in the "Step Two" tab under "Option B").
  3. Log in to your WINGS Express account and register for the classes you have selected. Your academic advisor will provide you with step-by-step instructions.

Step Two: Register for Orientation
