Sandra Crews is a professional actor and director and has been teaching at Wright State University for 23 years. She is a Full Professor and has directed over 20 plays here at WSU. Her area of expertise is teaching and directing classical as well as new and experimental plays and processes.
She has directed at the Magic Theatre in San Francisco with "Word for Word" where she last directed a production of the first seven chapters of John Steinbeck's "Cannery Row." Also at the Magic Theater, she directed Barbara Kingsolver's "Rose Johnny" and Annie Proulx's "The Bunchgrass Edge of the World" both which toured France with "Word for Word. Crews was selected as one of the top San Francisco/Bay area directors of 1998. She is a member of Actor's Equity and has directed and acted professionally on both coasts.
