Background:
David J. Castellano is an Assistant Professor of theatre for Stage Management
and Scenic Technology and is the newest faculty member of the Design and
Technology Area for Wright State University’s Department of Theatre, Dance,
and Motion Pictures.
David continues to work as a free lance designer and theatrical consultant
and has the pleasure working for several companies including Richard Frankel
Productions, William Ivey Long Studios, Stella Adler Studio of Acting,
Phoenix Opera, Actors Theatre of Phoenix, Stray Cat Theatre and Rocky
Mountain Theatre for Kids.
Some of his favorite projects include Little Shop of Horrors (Broadway &
National Tour), Twentieth Century (Broadway), Frogs (The Lincoln Center –
NY), Marisol (City Attic Theatre - NY), Octopus (Stray Cat Theatre - AZ),
Shipwrecked! An Entertainment (Actors Theatre of Phoenix - AZ), The Skriker
(The lida Project - CO), Spring Awakening (Phoenix Theatre/NNT - AZ) and The
d Word (NYC).
David graduated from the University of Evansville with a B.F.A. in Theatre
Design and Technology and Ohio University with a M.F.A. in Scenic and Costume
Design.
