Design/Technology/Stage Management Interviews
Suggestions for items to include in a portfolio:
- Original artwork in any medium, even if it does not directly relate to theatre. Good color photographs or color copies are acceptable if the original is larger than 18"x24".
- Items relating directly to your theatre work. This may include:
- Scenery sketches, draftings, models, or renderings
- Costume sketches or renderings
- Light plots, schedules, or other paperwork
- Sound plots
- Stage management prompt book
- Production photographs of shows you have worked on. These should show the production onstage, with costumed actors and correct lighting cues.
- Close-up or in-progress photographs; showing the piece you built (costume prop, scenery, etc). Photographs that show the construction process.
Suggestions for items NOT to include in a portfolio:
- Programs, posters, or other publicity (unless you did the graphic design).
- Photographs of the cast and crew, your family, friends, etc.
- Newspaper articles or reviews (unless you or your work is specifically mentioned.
