John Lavarnway

Properties Master

John Lavarnway is the resident Property Master for the Design/Technology area in the Department of Theater Arts. John has provided props for over one hundred productions at Wright State since 1992. John has been the Vice-Commissioner for Stage Properties for the Scene Design Commission of the United States Institute for TheatreTechnology for the past eight years. He has taught workshops in molding and casting, leather mask making and puppetry. In 2004, John was recognized with a Daytony Award for outstanding achievement in puppetry for his production of The Snow Queen.
