Degree Requirements

The Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in dance requires the completion of a total of 192 credit hours distributed in the following manner:

• 102 in dance
  • fundamentals, 9
  • modern, 27
  • ballet, 36
  • jazz, 12
  • rehearsal and performance, 6
  • three courses each in
    • dance history
    • pedagogy
    • improvisation/choreography
  • senior dance projects
  • 9 credits in theatre and acting
  • 18 in music literature and singing
  • 56 in general education courses
  • 6 hours of electives.
