Teressa Wylie McWilliams' professional credits include Mary Riley/Dance Captain in the World Premiere of Jekyll and Hyde at the Alley Theatre, the National Tours of Sophisticated Ladies and My Fair Lady, and numerous regional theatre work including Mrs. Potiphar in Joseph...Dreamcoat, Mme. Renaud/Monique in La Cage aux Folles, Lorraine Fleming in 42nd Street, and Cassie in A Chorus Line. Teressa has performed in the U.S., Japan, and the U.S.S.R. with such personalities as Tommy Tune, Linda Eder, Hinton Battle, Gregg Burge, and Laurie Beachman. Choreography/Assistant Director credits include Carousel, A Chorus Line, Sweeney Todd, Follies, Funny Girl, Cabaret, and Oklahoma. Teressa has extensive choreographic and performance experience in modern dance having performed with various companies in New York including Solomons Company/Dance. Her choreography in both modern and musical theatre has won her recognition as the 1999 recipient of the Artist Fellowship in Choreography from the Kansas Arts Commission and of the Kennedy Center Meritorious Achievement Awards for Carousel, Fiddler on the Roof, and Babes in Arms. Prior to WSU, Teressa was on faculty at Wichita State University, Sam Houston State University, Central Piedmont Community College and taught around the country. Teressa is currently Associate Professor and Coordinator of Dance at Wright State University.
