We invite you to experience a stunning evening of dance in a program that transports you from classical and narrative to contemporary and abstract. Dynamic works by the WSU faculty display the versatility and diversity that provides the foundation of the WSU training. This year’s concert will feature a world premiere piece by Jon Lehrer, an athletic contemporary artist, as well as new works by WSU faculty and special guests DCDC2 and DB2. Come enjoy the tremendous talents of the WSU Dance Ensemble as they take the stage to share their unique gifts of passion and power~to inspire, to entice, to touch, to engage…..dance does it all!

Dance Intensive at WSU
Wright State University will conduct its fifth annual Dance Intensive Workshop on Saturday, March 10, 2012 from 10am-4pm on campus at the Creative Arts Center. The faculty and students of Wright State University’s Dance Program are thrilled to share a broad spectrum of dance styles and teachers with you. Faculty members Teressa Wylie McWilliams, Gina Walther, Justin Gibbs, Joe Deer and Greg Hellems along with various guest instructors will teach technique classes in jazz, tap, modern, ballet, Rockette Precision Dance, hip-hop and lyrical. Each participant will receive a complimentary ticket to the Winter Dance Concert. The cost for the entire day is only $35. Click here for more information.

Junior/Senior Dance Concert
June 1 and 2 at the Festival Playhouse
Join our emerging choreographers from WSU Dance Program for their Junior/Senior Concert. Each work promises to be a unique expression of each junior and senior as they discover their artistic voice through movement. The concert will be held on campus in the Creative Arts Center on the Festival Playhouse Stage on June 1 at 8:00 pm and June 2 at 2:00 pm. Come enjoy original, dynamic choreography! A suggested $3.00 donation is recommended to help support future student productions.
