Andrea Gibson is an award-winning poet and activist. The first winner of the Women's World Poetry Slam, Gibson has headlined prestigious performance venues coast to coast with powerful readings on war, class, gender, bullying, white privilege, sexuality, love, and spirituality.

The Women's Center and Women's Studies Program staff invite you to stop by and enjoy a piece of birthday cake to help us celebrate our 20th anniversary.

This annual event was created by the Ms. Foundation for Women, creator of Take Our Daughters to Work Day in 1993. Celebrated at Wright State University since that same year, Take Our Daughters and Sons to Work Day invites WSU faculty and staff to bring their sons, daughters, nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and other special children in their lives to campus. After an opening session, children attend concurrent sessions that explore careers in the sciences, business, technology, arts, and other fields. Each year over 200 mentors and children participate in this event.

Do you knit or crochet or wish you could learn? Do you want to help make a difference in people’s lives on campus and in the community? Join the WSU Service Knitting Circle whenever you can. We meet every Friday and are open to all interested faculty, staff, and students!

We work together to make blankets and other items for babies, children, and teenagers through Greene County Children Services and WSU students who are new parents.

Please bring materials with you.
If you are a learner, bring colorful yarn and we’ll help you get started!

Please join us for a presentation and discussion about the HERS Summer Institute, presented by Dr. Melissa Gruys, Raj Soin College of Business, and Tonya Mathis, Division of Student Affairs. They were Wright State University's participants at the 2012 HERS Summer Institutes for Women in Higher Education Administration at Bryn Mawr College and the University of Denver.
