ARTSGALA—it’s considered to be one of the premier arts events in the Dayton area! The highlight of Wright State’s arts season, ARTSGALA is a well-established evening of top-notch entertainment and activities showcasing the talents of our students in art, music, theatre, dance, and motion pictures. In the past thirteen years this event has raised over $1.4 million in scholarship funding for arts students, while providing a magical evening for over 550 patrons annually.

Renowned Broadway and film composer Stephen Schwartz will visit Wright State University Monday and Tuesday, Mar. 18–19 in the first Distinguished Visiting Artist Series event at the university.

His two days on campus will be filled with instruction, giving Wright State students studying music, theatre, dance and motion pictures an opportunity to interact firsthand with the distinguished guest. Students are also invited to attend a performance by Schwartz in Wright State’s Creative Arts Center’s Festival Playhouse that Monday night.

Wright State's annual ARTSGALA offers patrons a night of unparalleled entertainment. Student talents are on display throughout the Creative Arts Center and guests are treated to a dizzying array of food and fun. In its first 13 years, ARTSGALA has raised more than $1.4 million to fund student scholarships in theatre, dance, art, music and motion pictures.
