The RecycleMania 2011 Final Results are Tallied!

Wright State continues to improve in the standings for the RecycleMania competition. Each year since 2006, Wright State has increased the percent of recycling on campus. Of course, this increase translates to less waste going to the landfill and that is a very good thing. View the results→

5th Annual Symposium on Sustainability in Health Care

Thursday, March 26 - WSU will be co-hosting the 5th Annual Symposium on Sustainability in Health Care at the Sharonville Convention Center. This yearly event is relevant to not only medical and nursing faculty, staff and students, but also to those involved in engineering and others with interests in sustainable design, construction and operation.

This year, SSHC will feature nationally renowned Health Care expert, Richard (Dick) Jackson, as the keynote speaker. He is a Professor at the Fielding School of Public Health at the University of California, Los Angeles. As a pediatrician, he has served in many leadership positions in both environmental health and infectious disease with the California Health Department, including the highest as the State Health Officer. For nine years he was Director of the Center for Disease Control's National Center for Environmental Health in Atlanta and received the Presidential Distinguished Service award. In October, 2011 he was elected to the Institute of Medicine of the National Academy of Sciences. The symposium has clinical and infrastructure panels as well.

"Growing Cities" Local Food Film at the Neon Theater!

Join us May 2nd 3:00 p.m. for the screening of "Growing Cities", a film about urban farming in America. This documentary examines the role of urban farming in America and asks how much power local food grown in cities has to revitalize our communities and change the way we think about food and eat.
