Probation

Scholastic action is determined on the basis of cumulative GPA. The registrar takes scholastic action by placing on probation those students whose cumulative GPA drops below 2.0. You will not be placed on probation until you have attempted six or more credit hours. Whenever you subsequently attain a cumulative GPA of at least 2.0, you are removed from probation.

If you are on probation, you must have your advisor's approval of your course selections before registering for classes, and of all drop/add transactions as well. Your course load may be limited if the advisor feels such a restriction is necessary. Counseling, remedial work, course repeats, enrollment restrictions, and other steps may be required by an advisor.
