Getting involved in UAB is easy! There are different levels of involvement, depending on your schedule and your ability to help out. The more you participate in UAB, the more you will get in return from the experience. Here are each of the ways in which you can become a part of UAB.
Street Team Member Join us at our weekly meetings, where we’ll hang out, discuss what’s going on at UAB, play games, socialize, and conjure up new event ideas. It’s a great way to meet people and simply get out of your drab dorm room or apartment! To become a part of Street Team, simply join us every Wednesday at our Street Team meetings.
Programming Committee Member Take on an active role in UAB by helping program our events. There are four programming committees to choose from: Major Events, Themes and Traditions, Weekend Events, and Series Events. Each committee has its own unique palette of events, but feel free to help out on multiple committees, a la carte.
Finance Committee Member Help UAB’s events grow bigger by participating in our fundraising campaign. Manage UAB’s budget and try to grow it by having sponsors invest in or sponsor some of UAB’s largest events.
Marketing Committee Member Help promote UAB and its events by designing flyers, posting announcements on our website and on Facebook, chalking, maintaining our bulletin boards, and more.
Event Director Be in charge of a UAB event! Gain experience in leadership and teamwork by overseeing the logistics of an event. Event directors will be chosen from among the programming committees.
Executive Team Officer Get PAID to plan fun things to do on campus! It’s hard to beat a job like that. Applications for the 2009-10 school year will be available early 2009. |
