A Student Patrol Employee assists the Wright State University Police Department with its community oriented policing efforts by conducting foot patrols on main campus and the residential communities, opening and securing WSU buildings, detecting suspicious, unsafe or hazardous situations/conditions, provides safety escorts and generally supports crime prevention and suppression efforts on campus. NOW HIRING FOR STUDENT WEBMASTER
Make $8.00 per hour!!! This is an on campus regular or work study position posted through Wright State University Office of Student Activities.
Job Summary:
Create web pages and templates, convert printed publications to HTML format, create graphics, scan photos and artwork, maintain database of internet inquiries, complaints, and compliments that are submitted via e-mail to webmaster address. Provide monthly reports on type and number of inquiries. Assist the Office of Student Activities in maximizing computer resources. Create brochures, flyers, and other documents to inform and publicize departmental programs and services.
Job Skills and Knowledge:
Extensive experience with HTML formatting, experience with web authoring tools and programs:scanning equipment and software; and creating graphics and images for the web. Experience with database programs. Must be detail-oriented and have excelled written and verbal communication skills. Must have experience in desktop publishing and be familiar with Photoshop. Must have a cumulative GPA of 2.0 and maintain once hired.
Hours per Week:
Variable. 15-25 hours per week beginning Summer 2007. Some Spring hours available for training. Must be available Summer 2007- June 2008.
