CA POSITIONS AVAILABLE

The Office of Residence Services is currently seeking applicants for our 2007-2008 Community Advisor (CA) positions.  The Priority Deadline for submitting an application is January 22, 2007.

All applicants for the position are encouraged to attend one of our four information sessions (see ORS website for dates and times).  The information sessions are designed to provide candidates with an overview of the position and allow candidates an opportunity to ask questions and engage in dialogue with current Residence Life staff.  Applications are available on-line via the Residence Services web page (http://www.wright.edu/housing).

We will be looking for individuals who reflect the diversity of our residential communities and who have a strong desire to make a positive difference to others.  Individuals who possess a caring, upbeat, energetic attitude, as well as a willingness to learn and grow make ideal CAs.  It is important that our CAs possess strong leadership skills, understand the need for policy enforcement, have an appreciation for all aspects of diversity, and utilize well developed communication and leadership skills.

The Community Advisor position is one of the best jobs available for students and provides a multitude of non-monetary benefits in addition to the financial compensation package.  Being a CA requires a significant time commitment in order to be successful, but the rewards derived from the experience make it a very valuable position.  The CA position is not just a student job; it is a life experience that can be very enjoyable, providing lifelong friendships and leadership skills that will enhance future employment opportunities!

If you have any questions about the position, please join us at one of the four information sessions.  The CA position is a great opportunity for you to enhance your leadership skills while making positive contributions to the campus residential communities.

Remember, the Priority Deadline for applications is January 22nd.

Joseph Berthiaume, Ph.D.

Associate Director for Residence Life
