Looking for relief from the winter doldrums?

The 2012 Omicron Delta Kappa Leader 2 Leader Conference is just around the corner! This is the eighth annual conference, planned by members of WSU's circle of ODK. This year's theme is "UP: Ultimate Potential" with activities based on Pixar's animated film UP. The conference is designed to help attendees improve their leadership skills to maximize their success as students and student leaders.

Breakout sessions throughout the day will be focused on building a strong foundation of leadership, collaboration, and moving leadership into the community. Sessions will be interactive at times and offer an opportunity to meet other conference attendees. Our keynote speaker this year is Tom Roberts, a former member of the Ohio General Assembly. He will be discussing Emotionally Intelligent Leadership and will highlight some ideas from John Maxwell's book Talent Is Never Enough. The one-day conference is free-of-charge to all Wright State students, faculty, and staff and includes a free breakfast and lunch.

Elect Her: Wright State Women Win: Are you interested in learning the nuts and bolts of running a student government or other leadership campaign? This special workshop will demystify the campaign process and teach you how to develop and communicate an effective message, how to reach your constituency, and how to win a campaign. Rebecca Thompson, Senior Director for Engagement at the United Way for Southeastern Michigan is a progressive young leader with extensive experience in community organizing and leadership development. Ms Thompson will empower you to affect change in your community. The workshop is offered in place of Sessions 1, 2 and 3 and; while geared to women, is open to everyone.

Omicron Delta Kappa is a National Leadership Honor Society that recognizes achievement in many areas of leadership. The WSU Circle (chapter) of ODK was established in 2004.
